Little Porkers

A couple of weeks ago, our Tuesday painting group was invited to a site on Underwood Mtn. in S. Washington. The farmers there are raising a dozen or so pigs. General opinion was that they "are sure cute". Naturally, I photographed them with the idea of painting them later. oil on stretched canvas 14" X 11" $300 unframed

Rack 'Em Up

OK, my last painting with cherries as the subject. I haven't been able to title this one creatively, so the end. Notice that I've changed the title at Celeste's suggestion. Thanks, Celeste! I've got a couple of other subjects waiting for their introduction. oil on canvas board 6" X 8"

Father's Pride

I'm interrupting my cherry series to post an image I just painted for a show I'll be in this October at the Columbia Art Gallery. Tentatively (I believe) it's called "Childhood Remembered". Cherry Bombs

Another pun. As I paint this series, I'm realizing that a big thing that attracts me to cherries as a subject, in contrast to the rich color and plump shapes, are the stems and the sinuous way they move through space. oil on canvas board. 6" X 8" Being held for an upcoming show. NFS

Cherry Pile

Local Berries

These berries didn't last too long after being painted. I don't know why, but locally grown strawberries seem more accessible this year than in the past. Perhaps because I've got a friend who grows some to sell; perhaps because there's a new Saturday market in The Dalles. 6" X 8" oil on board. Holding for a show. NFS
