Derelict

I encountered this old home while driving through rural Oregon. I was attracted to the graphic image produced by the weathered surfaces and the exposed structure. Unanswered is the question of why someone invested in a new metal roof when the house was in this condition. Also, I've been experimenting with leaving some of the colored priming show through. This can be seen most clearly in the sky and roof. oil on canvas 11 X 14 $300 unframed

    Hi Mitzi, Thanks for your comments! I probably enjoy painting figures and portraits the most. Actually, thinking about it,I enjoy most painting a wide variety of subjects.
